Children’s Summer Exhibition is a hit

Our work as local councillors means we get to meet some amazingly talented young people and it’s great when we can showcase their work.
Dartford’s Conservative council persuaded KCC to let it refurbish and take over the Sir Peter Blake Gallery at the rear of Dartford Library. It’s already hosted a season of stunning exhibitions featuring local work and it seemed entirely natural to follow our annual Summer Exhibition with a similar show featuring children’s art. The Children’s Summer Exhibition was a huge hit.  Council Leader Jeremy Kite and Mayor David Mote hosted a special preview day attended by dozens of the young artists. Every young artist received a certificate recognising their participation.

The exhibition was open from 6th – 30th August 2018 and featured the work of more than 30 talented young artists.  There is SO much talent in our community and it’s wonderful to have the opportunity to showcase it to the town.
